Kids Mode setup

Kids Mode simplifies the dashboard, hides sensitive modules (work calendar, cameras), and can PIN-protect exiting the mode.

Enable Kids Mode

Open Settings → Profiles → Kids Mode.
Toggle Enable Kids Mode.
Set a PIN or gesture to exit (do not use birthdays).
Choose allowed modules: clock, weather, photos, simple reminders.

⚠️ Warning: A mirror in a playroom should not expose front-door cameras, smart locks, or shopping purchase flows without extra safeguards.

Voice in Kids Mode

Open Settings → Voice → Kids restrictions.
Disable commands that change lights temperature, open doors, or delete data.
Test with your child speaking — adjust wake sensitivity to reduce accidental triggers.

💡 Tip: Pair Kids Mode with a dedicated Google account or no calendar if you do not want school events read aloud to siblings.

Schedule (optional)

Some builds support auto Kids Mode after 7pm — configure under Settings → Profiles → Schedule.

Troubleshooting

Forgot PIN
Use admin SSH recovery documented for your release (often config.json edit + service restart) — keep offline backup of admin steps.
