Themes & backgrounds

M2C2 supports dark-first themes tuned for two-way mirror glass. Good contrast and large type beat fancy fonts on a wall display.

Pick a theme

  1. Open Settings → Appearance → Theme.
  2. Preview Dark glass, Midnight, High contrast, or community themes.
  3. Adjust accent colour to match room decor (often cyan/teal for mirror aesthetics).

Backgrounds

  1. Open Settings → Appearance → Background.
  2. Choose solid, gradient, or image.
  3. Lower background intensity if widgets are hard to read.

💡 Tip: Take a photo of your wall through the installed mirror sample to judge real-world contrast before locking a theme.

Per-profile themes

If Kids Mode is enabled, assign a brighter or simpler theme with fewer modules — Settings → Profiles.

ℹ️ Note: Addon widgets should respect global CSS variables (--m2c2-*) when provided by your build so they match the active theme.

Troubleshooting

Text glow / double image
Glass gap or lighting issue — tune room lighting behind you, not only software contrast.
