Photo upload guide

Upload flow

  1. Open Photos tab in the companion app.
  2. Pick camera roll or an album.
  3. Select images → Upload to mirror.
  4. Choose target album on the Pi (default: Incoming/Mobile).

💡 Tip: Pre-crop to 16:9 on the phone for fullscreen slideshows without letterboxing.

Storage housekeeping

  1. On the mirror open Settings → Photo frame → Storage.
  2. Set max GiB for mobile uploads.
  3. Enable auto-prune of oldest items when full.

ℹ️ Note: Large HEIC files may be transcoded to JPEG server-side — first upload can be slow.

Troubleshooting

Upload fails at 100%
Disk full on SD card — df -h over SSH; expand filesystem or prune media.
